| On 21 June 1995 a group of Slovenian scientists from the area of technical and natural sciences together with prominent engineers, members of the SATENA/IAS (the Slovenian Association of Technical and Natural Sciences) initiated the Slovenian Academy of Engineering (IAS). | The finest specialists can be elected to the IAS on the basis of their achievements in the areas of technical science, technology development, the introduction of new technologies and products, or the efficient development of industrial companies and other business entities. | When involved in its activities and presenting itself in public, the IAS strictly observes transparency and restraint regarding its use of public funds, and promotes respect for ethical principles among its members. | ||
